Smartlipo™
Smartlipo™ is the first laser system designed for LaserBodySculptingSM and for the disruption of fat cells. Smartlipo™ is ideal for targeting localized deposits of unwanted fat, fat tissue irregularities and for coagulating tissue leading to an incredible tightening effect. Bleeding is minimized because of the device's hemostatic properties. While the arms, male breasts (gynecomastia), and other areas of loose or lax skin of high vascularity can be treated with excellent results, the neck and small areas of the face can also be treated because of its design.
It is a revolutionary new form of laser assisted lipolysis using the LaserBodySculptingSM Workstation manufactured by Cynosure, an American producer of light-based aesthetic and medical treatment systems. Smartlipo™ has been approved by both Health Canada and the FDA.
The LaserBodySculptingSM Workstation
Utilizing the incredible strength of the Nd: YAG laser, the Smartlipo™ LaserBodySculptingSM Workstation combines high peak power with a high repetition rate of 40 Hz. A thin 300 micron fibre delivers the power of the Nd: YAG laser, which has been threaded through the handpiece and detachable cannula of the workstation so that it can be used for the procedure effectively. About 2mm of the laser fibre protrudes from the cannula at the tip.
